Ok, here's the Top 3 things to concentrate on to help you avoid those pesky punishments:
- Don't move too fast around the app
- Don't follow too many accounts too fast
- Don't unfollow too many accounts too fast
Start off by slowing down. You can't fly around X too fast, it will think you're a B0t, and drop the hammer on ya. You have to slow your role, and find your timing.
When liking and rt'ing, don't do it too many in rapid succession. Take 5-10 seconds between each move you make. You will decrease this time a bit as you get a feel for the app.
Then when following others, like or rt something of theirs first, then follow. This isn't the case every single time, though, of course. Also, take a minute or two between follows, and follow accounts in batches of three to start out. Short pause between each follow, then pause again for 5-10 minutes, follow three more in the same fashion, then slowly increase limits and decrease time in between, until you figure-out where the barriers are.
This will help you find your own timing. You will of course push the limits in order to learn where the pitfalls & tripwires are. It's like learning to ride a bike or play a video game. Treat it as such.
